Market coverage

How well the ledger covers each market, counted rather than claimed: the sources reading it now, how many of its claims have settled, and how far ahead of the confirmation they were first heard. 26 English-language sources report on all three and are counted once, below.

HOW THESE ARE COUNTED
  • Sources are the ones reading the market now; the small numbers are active out of registered, by kind. A registered source that is off is waiting on a key, an approval or a decision.
  • Settled is confirmed, out, debunked or went quiet, out of every claim about the market’s titles.
  • Median lead is how many days before the confirmation a confirmed claim was first heard. Zero means the confirmation was the first word.
WHY THE MARKETS DIFFER

Japan and Korea have registries that list books before they come out; China has none, and its platforms are scrape-only. Webtoons run in seasons, not volumes, so the volume model (M2) is Japan-only. Every source and whether it is on is in the source register; how the forecasts do is on Calibration.
